The Strangers Chapter 1 Character Posters Preview Horror Trilogy
Lionsgate has dropped the first character posters for The Strangers Chapter 1, the first installment to the upcoming trilogy reboot of the psychological horror film franchise.
The posters introduce the franchise’s three new masked psycho killers, Dollface, Scarecrow, and Pin-up Girl, who are set to terrorize moviegoers this year. In addition, the studio has also released a security footage teaser featuring the villainous trio. Chapter 1 is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 17, 2024. It will then be followed by two more sequels in late 2024.
What is The Strangers Chapter 1 about?
“After their car breaks down in an eerie small town, a young couple are forced to spend the night in a remote cabin,” reads the synopsis. “Panic ensues as they are terrorized by three masked strangers who strike with no mercy and seemingly no motive in THE STRANGERS ― CHAPTER 1, the chilling first entry of this upcoming horror feature film series.”
The upcoming horror thriller is directed by Renny Harlin from a screenplay written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, based on story by original franchise creator Bryan Bertino. The film stars Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), Froy Gutierrez (Hocus Pocus 2), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent) and Ema Horvath (What Lies Below). It is produced by Courtney Solomon, Mark Canton, Christopher Milburn, Gary Raskin, Alastair Burlingham, and Charlie Dombek.
