'Stranger Things'' Finn Wolfhard Stars in PUP’s New 'Sleep in the Heat' Video

From the Toronto band’s sophomore LP The Dream Is Over.

By Matthew Strauss.

PUP have shared the video for “Sleep in the Heat” from their Polaris Prize-shortlisted album The Dream Is Over. It stars Finn Wolfhard, best known for his role as Mike Wheeler on Netflix’s “Stranger Things.” In the video, directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux, Wolfhard plays a young version of lead singer Stefan Babcock. He and the band take in a dog, and must make some difficult decisions when their pup gets sick. Watch it below.

Wolfhard is quite the music fan. In an interview with Vulture, he said he took a two-hour trip from his Vancouver hometown to go see PUP in Seattle; he left the show with the band’s drumsticks. He also said he’s actually playing the guitar in the “Sleep in the Heat” video, which makes sense, given that he’s shared bedroom covers of Mac DeMarco’s “Salad Days” and Nirvana’s “Lithium.”
