'Straight Pride Parade' Rage Sparks Viral Clown Troll

A "straight pride parade" is underway way in Boston, but people are so enraged by anyone who would participate, an epic campaign has started with people posting pictures of clowns as "participants" of the event.

The parade took place Saturday in downtown Boston, and also attracted counter-protesters, as well as a heavy police presence.

However, a different type of protest is taking place online, after people on Twitter began flooding their feeds with pictures and video of clowns.

The parade itself started around noon and featured floats and signs expressing mainly pro-trump and pro-military sentiments.

Signs flooded the streets with quotes like, "Support our troops" and "Build the wall and crime will fall."

A large number of protesters showed up to challenge the marchers and loudly chanted, "Alt right, get off our streets, no justice, no peace."

Boston police are keeping a vigilant eye for anything out of the ordinary and officers were seen searching backpacks.

According to some initial reports, several people have been arrested for various crimes on the scene. Video online shows clashes between police and protestors.

The parade itself was organized by Super Happy Fun America, whose officials says they are "advocates on behalf of the straight community in order to build respect."

Milo Yiannopoulos, a controversial right-wing political commentator, served as grand marshal.
