A 'Straight Outta Compton' Sequel? Cast Members Tell Us What They'd Want to See in a Follow-Up

Though no sequel is in the works — yet — the cast of Straight Outta Compton sat down with Yahoo to talk about what storylines they’d like to see in a potential follow-up to the hit film, which earned more than $56 million in its opening weekend. Their choices include such seminal hip-hop events as the infamous 2000 “Up in Smoke” tour — featuring Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Eminem, among others — to the development of Dre’s audiophile-adored Beats By Dre headphones. You can watch pitch possible sequels in the video above.

Of course, any talk about an imaginary Straight Outta Compton 2 is bound to get a little awkward, considering that N.W.A. member Eazy-E — played in the film by Jason Mitchell — died in in 1995. “So you guys would be okay with me just…not being there?” Mitchell asks his co-stars. Whoops. Let’s hope this doesn’t start another N.W.A. intra-band feud!
