The Story Tour coming to RRCA Oct. 13

In the fall of 2021, two former drug addicts, Travis Habbershon and Allan Scott, launched The Story Tour in Caribou, Maine. The tour offers hope and healing. It quickly found an audience.

“We really didn't know if it was going to be something that would resonate with people,” Scott said. “I had shared my story with thousands of people in the past and was always amazed at how people who were going through similar addiction-type stuff would open up to me after the event. In 2021, we knew (and still know) that people were going through all types of stuff. Addiction, suicide, marital brokenness were all on the rise. So we decided to put a wide variety of stories in one show that cover many situations. Our goal was and still is to convince people that with Jesus, their story isn't over. By the end of this season, we will have visited 46 cities in the northeast U.S."

Habbershon and Scott will share their stories live. Habbershon is a suicide survivor who's now a pastor and author. Scott served time in jail. Today he is a worship leader and leads the Allan Scott Band.

Others who've overcome obstacles and hopelessness will share stories via video. They'll speak about substance abuse, marriage difficulties, loss of hope and healing from abortion. The event is recommended for teens and adults.

"They will encourage you to believe that God can restore any situation. God is bigger than whatever you’re facing. God can heal any hurt, move any mountain, restore any situation," Scott said. “There are multiple times in the event where the audience becomes a part of the show and they are directly engaged."

Scott plans to continue offering The Story Tour indefinitely.

"We're going down South in the spring and across the country next fall. We don't ever plan on stopping the tour, just adding new music and new stories as we go," he said. "Our vision is that this event would spark revival across the country in the lives of people who are hurting, beat up and addicted."
