Steven Seagal storms out of live interview after being asked about #MeToo misconduct allegations

Steven Seagal is not here for any questions about the #MeToo allegations against him.

The 66-year-old action star and friend of Russian President Vladimir Putin was being interviewed on BBC’s Newsnight on Thursday when he was asked how he deals with the allegations against him, which range from sexual harassment to rαpe. Before host Kirsty Wark even finished her question, Seagal pulled out his earpiece, stood up, and walked off-camera as someone helped him remove his microphone.

Wark didn’t seem surprised by Seagal’s sudden departure. “Hello, Steven Seagal?” she asked before telling the audience that the movie star and special representative for the Russian government “has said previously that he denies any allegation made against him.”

Seagal has been accused of sexual misconduct by numerous women, including Portia de Rossi, Jenny McCarthy, and Julianna Margulies, who all claim he harassed them. Regina Simons, an extra on his 1994 film On Deadly Ground, accused Seagal of rαpe. However, the Los Angeles County District Attorney announced it would not pursue charges against him due to the statute of limitations.
