Steve Carell is officially set to lead a brand new comedy series over at HBO.

The upcoming untitled project is described as a "single-camera comedy set on a college campus, centering on an author’s complicated relationship with his daughter." Bill Lawrence and Matt Tarses of Scrubs will pen the first episode and executive produce alongside Carell. The rest of the main cast are yet to be announced.

“HBO has long been a standard bearer of quality TV. Getting to do a show there with Steve Carell is an immediate career highlight for Matt and me. Nothing can go wrong now,” Lawrence said in a statement. “The combination of Steve Carell and Bill Lawrence promises to be full of great laughs, warmth, and charm. We’re thrilled to be the home for this long overdue collaboration,” Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO & Max Comedy Programming added.

Carell recently starred in Hulu's limited series The Patient and Netflix's two-season comedy Space Force. As many will know, he successfully led NBC's cult classic The Office for seven seasons.
