The post Steve Buscemi Turns Bad Bunny into Nosferatu in Spooky New “Baticano” Video: Watch appeared first on Consequence.

Bad Bunny has teamed up with Steve Buscemi in a new music video for his song “Baticano,” based on the iconic 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu. Watch the video below.

Beginning with Buscemi working as a mad scientist in a lab, the video follows the wandering of his creation: the vampire Nosferatu, portrayed by Bad Bunny himself. Lip-syncing to the song, the Puerto Rican megastar moves through elegantly striking black-and-white sets, recreating shots from the F. W. Murnau-directed German Expressionist source material. As the video ends, Buscemi warns Nosferatu that Earth is “cruel” and “not ready” for him, as he is “too perfect for this world.”

But beyond being a fun, spooky romp, the “Baticano” video has a few strong messages illuminating some of the contradictions of society. At one point, a portrait of Jesus is shown hanging behind a man who is engaging in domestic violence. At another point, a father is shown enjoying violence on television with his young son, but covers his son’s eyes in disgust when the screen shows two men kissing. All the while, Bad Bunny delivers lines like “Ningún hombre en la tierra tiene el derecho ‘e juzgar en el nombre de Cristo,” translating to “No man on Earth has the right to judge in the name of Christ.” Watch the video below.

“Baticano” is the latest song from Bad Bunny’s new album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, to receive music video treatment. Last month, the Latin trap king shared a video for the single “Monaco,” featuring cameos from Al Pacino, Wayne Diamond, and Keith William Richards. Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana itself arrived on October 13th, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
