Sterling K. Brown is feeling the love from his This Is Us costars after being nominated for an Oscar.

The 47-year-old actor expressed his gratitude on Instagram for receiving a best supporting actor nomination for his role in American Fiction as Jeffrey Wright's younger brother Clifford "Cliff" Ellison, who struggles to come to terms with his sexuality. The dramedy sees Wright's novelist character Thelonious "Monk" Ellison get entangled in a web of lies after he ironically pens a book under a pseudonym that goes against his values but is met with immediate success.

“Today I got nominated for an Oscar. ☺️ To God Be The Glory 🙏🏿,” he captioned a six-minute-long video, in which he detailed how he found about his nod after seeing that he had 126 congratulatory text messages on his phone.

Moore, 39, opened up to PEOPLE in July about her bond with the cast, noting that they still have a strong connection to this day — so much so that they even consider each other "family."

“The cast is absolutely in touch,” she shared at the time. “A bunch of us just had dinner a few weeks ago … they’re going to be my forever family. I love them deeply.”

Moore noted the cast still have a group chat that’s "always going.” She also called Huertas, 54, and Sullivan, 43 — who played Miguel Rivas and Toby Damon, respectively — the funniest members in the active chat.

“Jon Huertas and Chris Sullivan are definitely two of the funniest people I've ever met,” Moore shared. “So they're the ones that constantly have the one-liners or the gifs flowing for sure.”

"I miss them. I miss the work... that is such an important chapter of my life that, I don't know, maybe it'll come to fruition again in some form someday," she added.
