Stephen Colbert thinks Chrissy Teigen's NSFW Twitter lashing for Trump is perfection

Stephen Colbert practically licked his fingers from the Twitter beef between Chrissy Teigen, John Legend and President Donald Trump.

The "Late Show" host detailed the heated exchange in a NSFW portion of Monday's monologue, where he sarcastically declared the married couple to be "America's true enemies."

Trump's Twitter fingers began firing after Legend was featured in MSNBC's final installment of Lester Holt's "Justice For All" series, a report about the criminal justice system. Legend discussed Free America, a campaign he founded which hopes to "transform America’s criminal justice system" according to its website.

Trump argued that "people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform... came to me as a group and asked for my help," but appeared to complain that he and his political party weren't getting any credit.

"Apparently the president tuned in," Colbert told his audience. "I assumed he was hoping to catch a glimpse of some of his former campaign staff."

After reading Trump's scathing words from Twitter, Colbert said, "That is enough, sir! I have watched you denigrate countless American institutions, but I draw the line at John Legend and Chrissy Teigen!

"He is an EGOT," Colbert went on, referencing Legend's impressive collection of awards. "She is the only reason anybody tunes into 'Lip Sync Battle.' "

"Trump thinks all of television should be talking about him all the time," Colbert said, before adopting his Trump persona. "Just watched an episode of 'Property Brothers.' They redid a bathroom, not a mention of me, even though I use bathrooms all the time. I'm in one right now. Boring Drew Scott and his filthy-mouthed twin are total losers."

Colbert applauded Legend and Teigen for their replies to Trump's criticisms.

"Nicely done, John Legend," Colbert complimented the singer who encouraged the first lady to pay attention to her man. "Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody--ANYBODY--will praise you," Legend wrote. "Melania, please praise this man. He needs you."

As for Teigen's NSFW tweet in which she called out the President for not tagging her, Colbert responded with a slow-motion chef's kiss.

"She just beat Trump at Twitter and nicknames..." Colbert assessed, mentioning the resulting expletive-laden hashtag that gained popularity on the social media site.

"Congratulations, Mr. President," Colbert said. "Now people are talking about you."
