Stephen Colbert Sits Down With Donald Trump To Talk Vladimir Putin And Cabinet Picks

UPDATE with video: Stephen Colbert, who had been trying for some time to get Donald Trump to make a return visit to his CBS late-night show, finally landed the interview, though it’s unclear if, as a result, 60 Minutesinterview with our incoming POTUS will be its last. In a 60 Minutes/Late Show exclusive, Colbert posed questions to Trump from his “Caligula’s Man Cave” penthouse. Among the topics of discussion, Colbert wondered who else besides Reince Priebus, and the controversial former Breitbart CEO Steve Bannon, has been tapped for Trump’s cabinet:

Colbert: “For Labor Secretary, Meatloaf’s less talented brother, Casserole?”

Trump: “Yes.”

Colbert: “For Energy Secretary, a coffee can with googley eyes glued on it?”

Trump: “I found him to be terrific.”

Colbert: “And, for Secretary of Education, a pack of wild dogs?”

Trump: “I think at appropriate time I will release them.”

Colbert: “What if I told you I was going to edit this [60 Minutes] interview in a way that was unfair to you, but fun for me, and make it the opening of my show.”
