Stephen Colbert’s Showtime Election Show Guests: Larry Wilmore, Katy Perry & More

UPDATED with additional guest: Showtime has unveiled the planned guests for Stephen Colbert’s live Election Night show tonight, and it might give you an idea of the kind of night it could be: The list includes Hillary Clinton backers Katy Perry, Melania Trump impersonator/Tony winner Laura Benanti, Jeff Goldblum, Patton Oswalt, Nick Offerman and former The Daily Show producer-turned-comic Jena Friedman as well as Larry Wilmore, who took Colbert’s place on Comedy Central before Wilmore’s The Minority Report met its end in August.

Showtime also said Colbert’s “uncensored” opening monologue will be streamed on Facebook Live –no warning of if he’ll be more blue on the premium network than he is on his usual CBS show. Also no mention of Jon Stewart, who has appeared often on Colbert’s Late Show.

The live special, Stephen Colbert’s Live Election Night Democracy’s Series Finale: Who’s Going to Clean Up This Sh*t?, airs at 11 PM ET/8 PM PT from the Ed Sullivan Theater.

The just-announced guests will join Showtime’s own The Circus duo of Mark Halperin and John Heilemann and the show’s regular Mark McKinnon, who we told you about last week.
