Stephen Colbert Mocks NRA Video Starring Charlie Daniels
The NRA recently released a video starring Charlie Daniels in which the country music star delivered a stern message to Iran and the terrorists the country enables. In the video, Daniels said that Iran may have met our “fresh-faced flower-child president and his weak-kneed, Ivy League friends,” but warned that it hasn’t really met America or the “people who will defend this nation with their bloody, calloused, bare hands.”
On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host dressed up like Charlie Daniels and made a video of his own, mocking the country music legend. In Colbert’s version, he gave a pretty funny reason why he knew Iran hadn’t met America, saying, “But you ain’t met America because you would remember if you met her — she’s hot! I’m talking beer-poster hot.” Colbert then named some Americans terrorists definitely don’t want to meet, saying, “And I know for a fact you haven’t met the Real Housewives of New Jersey because those bitches would scratch your eyes out.”
