Stephen Colbert’s Live Election Night Special: ‘Who’s Going To Clean Up This Sh*t?’ Trailer

Showtime has released a promotional trailer and poster for its live election night special, Stephen Colbert’s Live Election Night Democracy’s Series Finale: Who’s Going To Clean Up This Sh*t?

On election night, while CBS is covering the historic election results with its news division, Colbert will be reacting in real-time to the election results as the state by state returns come in, targeting viewers who want to see all the latest results, but don’t want to watch the news. Telecasting on a pay cable network allows Colbert the freedom to say things news outlets cannot, such as directly quoting a candidate.

Airing live from The Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City with a studio audience, the one-hour program will also feature remote segments and several guests, and will reveal who won the presidency.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has broadcast live several times recently following party conventions and some of the presidential debates as well as the Veep debate. But this special marks the first time the show has partnered with a cable network to produce a live event. The election night special is produced by the same team behind The Late Show, including EPs Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart.
