Stephen Colbert issues a warning to author who ripped off his Trump book

On Thursday’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host revealed that someone on Amazon has published a ripoff of his Donald Trump-inspired book, Whose Boast Is This Boat?, which is a collection of things Trump actually said while touring the aftermath of a hurricane. And it gets worse for Colbert.“The full title of this ripoff is Whose Boat Is This Boat And Other Poems By Trump,” Colbert explained. “And here's the most infuriating part: It's the number one poetry book on Amazon.”

The good news is that Whose Boat is This Boat?, the real one, is number two overall in nonfiction book sales on Amazon. And 100% of the proceeds from Colbert’s book are going to hurricane relief for the Carolinas, Florida and Georgia. Which is probably why Colbert is ready to brew up a storm of his own.“You better lawyer up, buddy, because my attorney is going to crawl so far up your ass, you're going to have to get a court order just to fart,” Colbert joked. “Okay? It is hammer time!”Colbert said he is mostly upset because this is taking money away from hurricane victims, calling the imposter, “insulting.”“Not as insulting as tossing paper towels at hurricane victims,” Colbert said in reference to Trump’s actions in Puerto Rico. “But still.”The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 on CBS.Check out what people in far west Texas had to say about a border wall on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown:
