Stephen Colbert Defends 'Papa Bear' Bill O'Reilly

In the wake of Fox News cutting ties with Bill O'Reilly after multiple sexual harassment allegations, Stephen Colbert shared a statement from Fox on The Late Show regarding the former leader in cable news. The statement read, "By ratings standards, Bill O'Reilly is one of the most accomplished TV personalities in the history of cable news." To which Colbert replied, "By rating stands, he is. By moral standards, he was a self-righteous landfill of angry garbage." Although, the only statement Colbert fans wanted to hear was from his conservative pundit character, "Stephen Colbert." Coming in "via satellite" while standing in front of a cabin in the woods, "Colbert" said that the people failed Bill O'Reilly, adding, "All he ever did was have your back, and if you're a woman, you know, have a go at the front, too." "Colbert" was surprised that O'Reilly would even get in trouble for that, saying, "Suddenly sexual harassment's a crime? But that's the country we live in now: Obama's Trump's America." Unfortunately for "Colbert," there was nothing that he could do, other than invite Bill to live in a cabin with him and Jon Stewart. He said, "It's fun. You'll like it. We've got an animal sanctuary. Jon and I milk the goats. And soon, I hope, we'll be milking you."
