Stefano Sollima In Talks To Helm Michael B. Jordan In Tom Clancy Pic ‘Without Remorse’
Stefano Sollima, who directed Sicario: Day of the Soldado for Sony, is in talks to direct Without Remorse, based on the Tom Clancy novel that serves as the origin story of John Clark, to be played by Michael B. Jordan.
The film will be the first of two novels (the other being Rainbow Six) that Paramount is adapting based on the character from the Jack Ryan universe. Akiva Goldsman producing alongside Jordan, Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec.
John Clark first appeared in the 1987 Jack Ryan novel The Cardinal of the Kremlin before getting his own stand-alone story with Without Remorse in 1993. Clark is a former Navy SEAL who became an operations officer for the CIA, and at one point served as Ryan’s bodyguard.
