Steelers HC Mike Tomlin entertains idea of roster changes on the lines

If you want to point to one (technically two) area that had the biggest influence on the Pittsburgh Steelers getting boat raced by the Cincinnati Bengals, it was the line of scrimmage. As head coach Mike Tomlin pointed out in his short and sweet postgame press conference, the Bengals won up front and this made all the difference.

Tomlin was then asked about making changes to personnel on the lines and Tomlin quickly noted he’s not ruling it out.

“You may certainly see changes,” Tomlin said. This sounds great in theory but I’m not sure it is even possible at this point. On offense, aside from plugging Zach Banner in at one of the tackle spots, there is no sleeper player on the roster who can make this line better. The situation is even worse on defense where injuries have left the cupboards completely bare beyond Cam Heyward.
