Will the Steelers be able to replace Brian Flores?

Typically, the Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t a team that has to absorb the loss of a premier assistant coach. Like it or not, the Mike Tomlin coaching tree doesn’t do much in terms of cultivating coaching talent. But last season, almost by chance, the Steelers had Brian Flores fall into their laps and the team benefited greatly.

But now Flores is off to the Minnesota Vikings to be their defensive coordinator and Pittsburgh not only needs a new linebackers coach but could use a player like Flores to mentor players on both sides of the ball. Defensive tackle Chris Wormley credited Flores for the improve the run defense in the second half of the season and quarterback Kenny Pickett said Flores helped the offense get a unique perspective on how defenses worked.

Will the Steelers be able to replace that level of insight and expertise this season? And if they cannot, how will this impact the team for the upcoming season?
