Stassi Schroeder Reveals She Watches The Valley ‘for Comfort’

Stassi Schroeder isn’t a fan of Vanderump Rules. However, she’s been loving The Valley.
During a recent episode of The Toast podcast, Stassi said she watches Bravo’s newest reality series to keep up with some of her former co-stars. “I don’t watch Vanderpump Rules, but I’ve watched The Valley,” she said. “Do you ever go on Facebook and look up people that you went to school with, and you want to see what’s going on? That’s what The Valley is to me.”

Later in the episode, one of the hosts asked Stassi if she had a desire to be on the show with people like Jax Taylor and Kristen Doute. And to nobody’s surprise, her answer was a confident no. She later compared watching the series to looking back at people from your hometown and being happy you left. “It’s like a comforting feeling. Like, I watch it for comfort at this point so I can sleep well at night.”
When the trailer for the new series dropped, many fans wondered why Kristen was back, but Stassi wasn’t. “It’s not Bravo’s fault,” Stassi revealed in an earlier interview.
“Yeah, so once this idea was brought up and, they were like, ‘Okay, we’re gonna film a sizzle with all the people that would be on it. Will you be on it and film the sizzle?’ and every fiber of my being voted no, like truly.”
The NYT best-selling author explained that she turned the show down for several reasons. However, the main point was that she’s not really friends with the cast. “… it wouldn’t be a reflection of what my reality is,” she explained. “I’m not friends with any [of them], you know, it’s just, it’s not my group of friends.”
“I don’t want to have to go and do things that I normally wouldn’t do. I don’t want to disrupt the life that I have right now because I really like my life right now.”
The Valley continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c.
