Stassi Schroeder apologizes for past racist actions, admits to being 'a Karen'

Former "Vanderpump Rules" cast member Stassi Schroeder appeared on "Tamron Hall" on Thursday, her first TV appearance since she was fired for past racist actions. In 2018, Schroeder said on a podcast that she and her co-star Kristen Doute had called the police on former "Vanderpump" cast member Faith Stowers for a crime she did not commit. They made the call based on a grainy photo of the alleged thief, a black woman. Tamron Hall bluntly asked Schroeder if she's racist. “I’ve never felt like I was a racist, I don’t have hate in my heart," Schroeder said. "But I recognize that I wasn’t anti-racist.” Schroeder has also faced backlash over a photo she captioned “Nazi Chic.” She told Hall that since her firing, she has hired a diversity coach to help educate her. “I am so embarrassed that I even had those thoughts much less put it out there," she said. "I was that Karen, I was a Karen.”
