Stars React to Chris Rock’s Performance as Host of the Oscars
Chris Rock hosted the 88th Academy Awards on Sunday night and didn’t hold back when it came to addressing the controversy surrounding the lack of African-American nominees in the running for this year’s awards.
The Insider With Yahoo caught up with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars after the show and they revealed how they thought the comedian handled the elephant in the room. “He killed it,” Charlie Sheen praised. “His monologue was a masterpiece.” Rebel Wilson shared Sheen’s sentiment: “It’s such a hard job hosting the Oscars and I think Chris was an excellent choice.”
Not everyone was a fan, however. When asked if Rock was her favorite, Suzanne Somers quickly responded, “No,” but made sure to stay as politically correct as possible. “I don’t want to get controversial. I like Johnny Carson.”
