Stark County artist up for award for Jason Kelce's Christmas card

Designer Megan Cash was beyond thrilled when Jason and Kylie Kelce chose her Minted card design for their holiday greeting and social campaign, but now she’s even more excited. The team at Minted is nominated for a Webby Award, the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.

Established in 1996 during the internet's infancy, the Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a 3,000-plus member judging body. The academy includes executive members who include leading internet experts and business figures as well as associate members who are former Webby winners, nominees and other internet professionals. Reflecting the tremendous growth of the internet, the Webby Awards now honors excellence in nine major media categories.

Minted’s work with the Kelces during the holidays, featuring Cash’s holiday card design Madras, has been singled out as one of the five best in the world in the social media category. The collaborative project is among the top 12% of the 13,000 projects entered.

At the time the Stark County graphic designer created the card, the Kelce family was in the news most days. The Cleveland area natives Jason Kelce, who since has retired from the Philadelphia Eagles, and his brother, Travis Kelce, an NFL star who also is Taylor Swift's boyfriend, are popular media figures.
