David Bowie's space oddity is coming down to earth in the first trailer for the upcoming Stardust biopic.

Director Gabriel Range's historical drama about the pop icon's life stars Emma actor Johnny Flynn as a 24-year-old version of Bowie before he became one of history's most famous musicians.

Range's script — co-written with The Last Czars' Christopher Bell — begins in 1971, when a 24-year-old Bowie embarks on a trip to America with his Mercury Records publicist, Rob Oberman (Marc Maron).

Though Bowie would eventually evolve into a music staple, his alternative presentation of male sexuality, oddball performance style, and unique fashions are met with pushback from a general public not yet ready to accept him — all of which prompted him to create his first alter ego, Ziggy Stardust.

"There is no authentic me. There's just fear," Bowie says in the trailer, which also features glimpses of Jena Malone's supporting performance. "I want to take my fantasies on stage with me."

Stardust rocks into theaters on Nov. 25 — the same day it hits VOD and digital services. Watch the new trailer above.
