Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Remastered Trailer Stuns in 4K

Disney has remastered the original teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace.

To celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary, director George Lucas’ 1999 Star Wars prequel is now back in cinemas for a limited window. This lovingly upscaled version of its very first trailer gives you an idea of what to expect.

See the harsh Tatooine sun glinting off Queen Amidala’s Naboo Royal Starship, see the ferocious speed of a podrace in 4k resolution, and relive that classic moment Darth Maul unveils his second lightsaber blade.

If nothing else, the trailer reminds you just how many memorable sequences are in the film, from the Naboo battle between the droids and Gungans, to Anakin’s tense first meeting with the Jedi council. Watch the trailer below.
