Star Wars: KOTOR remake rumored to be in production

Rumors about the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake have been swirling around for years. But this time around, the buzz came from an episode of B.O.B the Podcast with noted Star Wars leaker Bespin Bulletin. According to Bespin Bulletin, a new KOTOR is already in development by a mystery studio. “I talked to a couple of people, and I also found out that Jason Schreier said that it’s not with EA, and we’ll ‘never guess’ who the studio is that’s making this game”. Bespin Bulletin was referring to a tweet made by Bloomberg gaming journalist Jason Schreier in February 2020. Wushu Studio’s Nate Nadja, who has also broken big gaming rumors in the past, echoed the KOTOR rumor over at ResetEra. Moreover, the timing of this supposed KOTOR revival makes sense. Electronic Arts no longer has an exclusive right to produce Star Wars games, a lucrative contract that EA has enjoyed since 2013.
