Star Wars Battlefront free dlc in January update

Star Wars January Battlefront DLC

As part of the announced 2016 downloadable content plans for Star Wars Battlefront, EA and DICE are delivering the game’s first major free update of the year on Wednesday, bringing a host of changes to the gameplay and a few requested additions to the experience.

The major changes to the game in today’s patch include the ability for players to now set up private matches, while new daily challenges have also been added to the game to incentivize players to come back each day to tackle new goals.

Players will now also be able to control Luke Skywalker and Han Solo on Hoth maps with new costumes that come from their looks in The Empire Strikes Back, while the Tatooine survival map now supports more modes like Blast, Droid Run, and Hero Hunt.

An assortment of other changes have been made to the game’s vehicles, weapons, star cards, and modes to better balance the gameplay. Check out the Battlefront forums for a full list of those changes.

Battlefront is also set to receive free content updates in February and March, along with major updates in content packs scheduled throughout the year.
