‘Star Trek’ Writer Roberto Orci Accuses Ex-Wife Of Burning Him With Scalding Hot Soup

'Star Trek' movie writer, Roberto Orci, is accusing his wife of domestic violence including an incident where she allegedly tossed scalding hot soup on him causing second-degree burns.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Orci filed for divorce from his wife -- Adele Heather Taylor -- and is asking the court to issue a restraining order for domestic violence. In the filing, the Hollywood honcho makes a host of brutal claims against Taylor, saying she has been abusing him for years.

Orci, who is known for the 'Star Trek' and 'Transformers' movies, describes the most recent incident where he claims his ex-wife burned him with soup. Shockingly, he included pictures of the actual burns, while describing the details.

"On December 22, 2022, (Adele) was threatening to divorce me and was threatening to "clean me out." She told me that I was a "mama's boy" and used other belittling language. At the time that she was yelling, I was trying not to engage her, even though she was trying to coax me into an argument. I went into the kitchen and heated up a bowl of soup as she was following me through the house. As she was yelling, I walked around her and started walking up the stairs. Respondent was irate, and she took her hand and pushed the bowl of scalding hot soup into my face. I was able to block the bowl with my hand, but the soup contents landed on me, and I sustained second-degree burns on my hand," he began.

Adding, "When (Adele) pushed the soup up, it was clear that she was pushing it towards my face with the intention of hitting me. Immediately after this incident, I was in pain, and Respondent told me to "shut up" and that "[I] will be fine."

Roberto claims this isn't the first time his wife has become abusive during the marriage, saying she has even been arrested for domestic violence on several occasions.

He recalls, "On April 13, 2022, (Adele) and I were in Vegas where she grabbed my neck and started to strangle me. She was pushing me out of the room at the same time and pushed me out of our hotel room in my underwear. I went downstairs to get a room key. The staff called the police because they saw that I was bleeding. The police came and arrested her for domestic battery."

The screenwriter claims his ex-wife even pushed him down a flight of stairs causing injuries to his knees.

Orci continues, "On November 24, 2022, I was in bed and trying to fall asleep when (Adele) came into our bedroom and punched me across the face. Before that, we had also been arguing, but it had been at least an hour since we had interacted, and I had tried to go to sleep to de-escalate. After she hit me, I locked the door and went to sleep. The next morning, my lip was split on the inside and there was blood on my bottom teeth."

'Transformers' Writer Claims Ex-Wife Maced Him In The Face

A week later, he says that "after a private screening of the movie "The Whale," (Adele) and I had been to a pub where she and I had been speaking to two other patrons. One of the patrons made a joke about England to her (she is British), and (Adele) stood up, towered over him, and tried to get into a physical fight with him. I stood between her and this individual and tried to reason with her to leave. We did leave shortly thereafter, but she was fuming that I had made her leave without letting her have a physical fight. (Adele) was yelling at me in the car and suddenly she punched me three times in the face while I was driving the vehicle."

The Hollywood screenwriter describes things getting so bad in the couple's relationship that she "maced" him in the face in 2019, and started "laughing at" him while he was "writhing in pain." Also, he says she took a baseball bat to their bedroom door -- after he wouldn't further engage in an argument.

In the end, Roberto is asking a judge to order his ex-wife to stay away from him -- including moving out of the former couple's home. In the divorce, Orci cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. As for the alleged arrests, Roberto says he didn't cooperate during the investigation, so no charges were brought against his ex-wife.

Both sides will be ordered to argue their respective sides to determine whether or not the court will issue a permanent restraining order.
