‘Star Trek’ Jean-Luc Picard Series to Air on Amazon Prime Video Internationally

The untitled “Star Trek” Jean-Luc Picard series starring Sir Patrick Stewart will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries and territories, outside of the U.S. and Canada, it announced in a joint statement with CBS Studios International on Monday.

Under the multi-year agreement with CBS, each episode will be available on Amazon Prime Video within 24 hours of its U.S. premiere on CBS All Access.

Stewart will reprise his role as the revered Picard, which he played for seven seasons on “Star Trek: Next Generation.” Picard will be the central character in the new sci-fi series and follow him through the next chapter of his life.
