Star Jones: Meet My New Family!

Star Jones has two new loves in her life.

While she carried her beloved pooch Pinky in a bag at Saturday's 8th Annual Children's Museum of the East End Family Affair in Bridgehampton, New York, she also had in tow a pair of new guys close to her heart: Ricardo Lugo and his son, Jake.

"This is my family," she introduced the Lugos. "I'm not married, but we're together."

How does Jones, 54, feel about the term "life partner" for Lugo?

"That's a cool way to put it," Jones answered. "That's a good one."

Jones – who topped off her T.J. Maxx sundress and Jimmy Choo shoes with a hat – also described the exciting new project in her work life: an upcoming show on VH1 based on her book Satan's Sisters.

"It is basically an insiders look at daytime television," she said. "So it's a show within a show. Vanessa [Williams] plays the lead character, Maxine Robinson, who is the most formidable broadcast journalist in the history of television.

Adds the former panelist on The View: "And I've had some pretty strong female mentors in broadcast television, if you know what I mean."

Satan's Sisters will debut on VH1 in 2017.
