Stanley's exclusive Valentine's cup causes chaos at Arizona Target store. Here's a look

Target decided to get an early head start on Valentine's Day 2024 with an exclusive line of Stanley cups in limited edition colors that caused chaos in Target stores.

The 111-year-old Stanley brand reached major popularity in the last couple of years thanks to Instagram and TikTok influencers. Now, it's reached an entirely new level with limited edition colors.

A TikTok video from user victoria_robino_26 shows customers rushing a Target store in Goodyear, Arizona, to get their hands on the Cosmo Pink and Target Red Valentine's Day edition Stanley cups. A sign can be seen stating two cups per customer, but a mob swarmed the table regardless.

Why is the Stanley Valentine's cup 2024 selling out at Target?

While the Stanley brand has been around for over 100 years, the massive tumblers with a handle and straw gained a cult following thanks to social media.

The Stanley cup went from favorites of dads and camping enthusiasts to beloved by Instagram influencers and WaterTok fanatics.

Now that Stanley has begun making limited edition colors, the craze has increased. The brand has an exclusive partnership with Target for the Valentine's Day drop and people flocked to Target stores in Arizona and nationwide to snag the 2024 limited edition cups.

Where is the Stanley cup available?

If you're interested in just a regular Stanley cup, you can order one online at stanley1913.com. If you're hoping to get a pink or red 2024 limited edition Stanley cup, check your local Target. But manage your expectations.

The new cup colors dropped on New Year's Eve and many Target stores across the U.S. are already sold out. According to CNN, Target reps said there won't be a restock of the cups. However, people should be on the lookout for more Target collaborations this year.

The 2024 Stanley Valentine's cups are already showing up on resale sites like eBay, poshmark and Facebook marketplace for over $100 each.

Why are Stanley cups so popular?

Stanley cups have been a favorite of many because of their ability to keep beverages hot or cold for longer than some other cups.

Thanks to Instagram influencers and TikTok video reviews, the Stanley cups have skyrocketed in popularity over the last couple of years. Some people are building their own massive collections.
