‘Stan Against Evil’ Draws Strong Ratings For Series Premiere In Live+3
Stan Against Evil is doing well for IFC. The November 2 premiere episode of the new horror-comedy series drew 679,000 total viewers in Live+3, making it the network’s highest-rated original series premiere in more than a year, since the Documentary Now Season 1 debut in August 2015.
The premiere night audience was up 71% in total views and up 78% in adults 18-49 in L+3, according to the network. The series bowed with back-to-back sneak peek episodes on Halloween Night, followed by the November 2 premiere episode.
Stan Against Evil follows Stan Miller (John C. McGinley), a perpetually disgruntled former sheriff of a small New England town who was forced into retirement. Stan has trouble relinquishing his authority to Evie Barret (Janet Varney), his tough and beautiful replacement. But they form an unlikely alliance when both begin to realize things are not quite right in their quaint New England town, which just happens to be built on the site of a massive 17th century witch burning.
The series is created and executive produced by Dana Gould, with Tom Lassally also serving as executive producer. Radical Media produces with Frank Scherma and Justin Wilkes executive producing. McGinley also serves as a producer. Deborah Baker Jr. and Nate Mooney co-star.
