Stacey Solomon's decluttering show Sort Your Life Out returned to TV on Wednesday and fans have called her "joy to a dismal world" in the feel-good series.

The BBC One show sees tidying up expert Solomon visit families struggling to keep their homes in order and with the help of a DIY and cleaning crack team, she empties their houses of clutter – then puts it back in an organised fashion.

Her second series launched with a visit to a family of four including a police officer and two daughters, and viewers praised the presenter's perfect approach to helping them out.

Solomon, who recently announced she is pregnant with her fifth child, thanked fans by tweeting: "Thank you for all of you lovely messages about the first new episode of #SortYourLifeOut I absolutely LOVE making he show & genuinely enjoy the process & fall in love with each & every family we meet. So it means a lot to see all of your kind, positive words about the show."

Newspaper columnist Suzanne Moore tweeted: "Stacey Solomon for PM. I am not even joking."

Another fan added: "Got to say that @StaceySolomon is a terrific presenter and #SortYourLifeOut brings a huge amount of joy to a dismal world."

The show's tips clearly had a positive effect, as one viewer tweeted: "My 14yo daughter went upstairs and started sorting out a drawer in her room straight after watching. we love your show."

Fans called her manner in helping people overwhelmed by clutter "perfect", praising her for her kindness.

One viewer tweeted: "What I like about this show is that it's people who actually need a hand. Not, "Here's how much you would have saved if you stopped buying Gucci bags and changed to a cheaper coffee." Plus @StaceySolomon is so lovely."
