Stacey Dash Arrested on Domestic Battery Charge

“Clueless” actress Stacey Dash was arrested in Florida for domestic battery, according to an affidavit from the Pasco County sheriff’s office.

Dash and the unnamed victim got into a “verbal argument” on Sunday, according to the document, and “pushed the victim and slapped him in the face.” The document also said that the victim sustained “red scratch marks on his left upper arm from being pushed” and that Dash was taken into custody for domestic battery and transported to the Land O’ Lakes detention center in Florida shortly after.

Though the victim’s name was not released in the affidavit, TMZ reported that Dash’s husband, Jeffrey Marty, was found with scratches after the dispute. She was released on a $500 bond, according to Page Six.

In a statement sent to TheWrap, a representative for Dash said that Marty did not press charges against her and that “no further legal action is pending.”

“The marital dispute, while personal and unfortunate, has since been blown out of proportion,” the statement read.

Aside from her role as Dionne Davenport in the ’90s cult classic film “Clueless,” Dash had recently attempted to enter into politics with a congressional bid in 2018, which she withdrew a month after filing the necessary paperwork in California’s 44th district. She was also a commentator for Fox News beginning in 2014 for “cultural analysis and commentary.” Three years later, the network announced that it would not renew her contract in 2017.
