St. Paul Fish Company makes Yelp's list of the country's top seafood spots

St. Paul Fish Company was the lone Wisconsin representative, and one of only a few from the Midwest, to make Yelp's Top 100 Seafood Spots for 2024, thanks to its fresh seafood and popular lobster rolls.

Yelp used user ratings to rank St. Paul Fish Company at 79th on its list.

According to Yelp's website, it identified restaurants in the seafood category (those with a large concentration of reviews that mention "seafood"), then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including total volume and ratings of reviews between January 1, 2001, and December 13, 2023. With 1,310 reviews, St. Paul Fish Company has a 4.5 star rating.

The seafood spot was one of just four Midwest restaurants to make the list. The others were The Original Island shrimp House in Palos Park, Illinois (No. 51); Lowcountry Lakeview in Chicago (No. 91); and Slapfish in Indianapolis (No. 68).

Most restaurants on the list were from coastal areas, with Blue Seafood & Spirits in Virginia Beach, Virginia, getting the top spot.

In 2023, Yelp recognized St. Paul Fish Company as having the best lobster roll in Wisconsin, and the restaurant made the site's Top 100 Midwest Restaurants list in 2023 at No. 95.

St. Paul Fish Company has two locations, one at the Milwaukee Public Market, 400 N. Water St., and one next to the Mequon Public Market, 6200 W. Mequon Road, Mequon.
