This “Challenge” is based on the original 2019 drama series “Squid Game” that won six Emmy Awards including Lee Jung-jae for Best Drama Actor and Hwang Dong-hyuk for Best Drama Director. Several of the popular games from that survival show returned in the reality version, including “Red Light, Green Light,” “Dalgona,” “Marbles” and “Glass Bridge.” Some of the new games include “Warship,” “Jack-in-the-box,” “Allegiance” and “Circle of Trust.” Season 1 streamed on Netflix on November 22 (episodes 1-5), November 29 (episodes 6-9) and December 6 (episode 10).
