Sprockerfeller Pictures To Produce Jenna Laurenzo Coming Out Comedy ‘Lez Bomb’

Sprockerfeller Pictures will produce Lez Bomb, an upcoming comedy from writer and director Jenna Laurenzo (Girl Night Stand), who will star. A family ensemble comedy, Lez Bomb is about a closeted young woman who brings her girlfriend home for Thanksgiving, only to have her coming out plans thwarted by the unexpected arrival of her male roommate.

Also starring are A.B. Farrelly (Treading Yesterday), Brandon Micheal Hall (Search Party), Elaine Hendrix (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll) and Caitlin Mehner (Rebel in the Rye). The comedy begins shooting in December.

Sprockerfeller Pictures’ Martin Sprock and Rob Moran are producing, along with Ryan R. Johnson.

Laurenzo made her directorial debut with the short film Girl Night Stand, which scored nearly 2 million views worldwide after its online debut. “I wrote Lez Bomb because it’s the movie I wanted to see when I was coming out but couldn’t find,” Laurenzo said. The project was a 2015 recipient of Big Vision Empty Wallet’s ‘Kickstart Diversity’ incentive program which supports and encourages diversity in storytelling by women, people of color, and LGBT individuals.

Laurenzo is represented by APA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Schreck Rose Dapello & Adams. A.B. Farrelly is represented by Muse Management; Brandon Micheal Hall, Paradigm Agency; Elaine Hendrix, Innovative Artists and McKeon Myones Management. Caitlin Mehner is represented by KMR Talent and McKeon Myones Management.
