The Springfield Cardinals will have a new radio home in 2023. Here's where.

Fans of the Springfield Cardinals will have to tune their radios to a new channel this upcoming season if they want to catch the birds in action.

Cardinal games had previously been broadcast on the various Jock stations — owned by Zimmer Communications. Until 2020, games were broadcast over 98.7 FM until "The Jock" was split into three different frequencies while 98.7 FM became "The Dove" which plays 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s music. The last two seasons had been broadcast over the three different Jock frequencies.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with SummitMedia and bring all the excitement of Springfield Cardinals Baseball to 106.7 The River,” Dan Reiter, Springfield Cardinals Vice President and General Manager, added. “The River’s great signal will allow for even more Cardinals fans to enjoy listening to the future stars of the St. Louis Cardinals on our broadcast every night. This is a new era of Springfield Cardinals Baseball on the radio and we couldn’t be more excited to kick it off with SummitMedia.”

Andrew Buchbinder will return for his 11th season as the play-by-play voice of the Springfield Cardinals.
