Spring 2024 festivals are almost here. Where to go for food, live music, arts and more

Spring is almost here, and with it the warmer, sunny weather gives Volusia and Flagler residents the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Several local festivals are scheduled throughout the season, providing locals with the chance to enjoy live music, cars, the arts, food and much more.

Here are just a few happening soon.

Florida Wildflower & Garden Festival

Downtown DeLand will host the 18th annual Florida Wildflower & Garden Festival this year.

The festival, presented by MainStreet DeLand Association, will bring vendors and presentations by wildflower and gardening experts.

Vendors will line the street with booths filled with potted wildflowers and seeds, plants and planters, arts and crafts, local honey, decorative home and garden items, and much more,” according to organizers.

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 23 on West Indiana Avenue in DeLand.

Spring Daytona Turkey Run

The Daytona Turkey Run is a classic car show at the Speedway (which also happens in November) and returns this month for its spring season edition.

The show features more than 5,000 collector cars, “from classic American muscle cars to cars from the 1920s.” The event also offers guests a chance to buy a classic car at the Car Corral or to find parts at the swap meet.

Spectator admission is $15 Friday and Saturday; and $10 on Sunday at the gate.

The event takes place March 22-24, from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. on Sunday.

One Daytona Art Festival

This year marks the fifth edition of the One Daytona Art Festival.

The two-day event brings several vendors featuring “high-end fine art and craft art.”

The festival includes live music on Victory Circle Stage, live art at Gallery500, a Volusia County Schools student art display, displays by Daytona State College students, and a kids' zone with free activities.

One Daytona Art Festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 6 and 7. One Daytona is located at One Daytona Boulevard in Daytona Beach.

Family Farm Festival

The Florida Agricultural Museum in Palm Coast will host its Family Farm Festival next month.

Guests can enjoy an interactive and educational experience about farm life, featuring an “array of horses, cattle, sheep, rabbits and other farm animals available for petting and observation,” as well as “expert demonstrations of traditional homesteading skills, such as weaving and blacksmithing.” Food trucks will also be on site.

Tickets are $8 for kids and $10 for adults. It’s scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 6. The museum is located at 7900 Old Kings Road N. in Palm Coast.

New Smyrna Beach Food Festival

The city’s iconic Flagler Avenue will be home to this year’s New Smyrna Beach Food Festival on April 18.

“Multiple eateries may sample taste-sized portions of Volusia County restaurants’ best dishes priced from $5 to $8,” according to organizers. “Enjoy live entertainment along the avenue, shopping with the merchants on Flagler Avenue and various vendors who sell their handmade items. Restaurants will be competing for the ‘Best on the Beach’ award this year.”

The event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. along Flagler Avenue, which will be closed to car traffic from 3 to 10 p.m. the day of the event.

Ormond Beach Celtic Festival

The 13th annual Ormond Beach Celtic Festival will once again bring a mix of live music, vendors, games and more to the Rockefeller Gardens for a celebration of Celtic culture.

Tickets are $12 and free to guests under 12. Veterans receive a discount with proof of ID.

The event is scheduled for April 20-21, from 10 a.m.- 7p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Sunday. Rockefeller Gardens is located at 26 Riverside Drive in Ormond Beach.

Palm Coast Songwriters Festival

The sixth annual event will gather songwriters from across the nation at the Daytona State College Palm Coast campus’ amphitheater and other area venues.

Single day tickets are $25 and four-day admission is $150.

The event takes place May 2-5. The amphitheater is located at 545 Colbert Lane in Palm Coast.

Welcome to Rockville

One of the highlights of the Speedway’s calendar, thousands of rock ’n’ roll fans will gather once again to enjoy their favorite musicians at Welcome to Rockville.

Among the highlights in the lineup this year are Motley Crue, Foo Fighters, Greta Van Fleet, Slipknot, Evanescence and many more.

Welcome to Rockville is scheduled for May 9-12. Single day general admission tickets range between $109.99 and $129.99, plus fees of up to $31.
