Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover model Brooks Nader and her husband Billy Haire are parting ways.

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Nader’s rep said the couple is “divorcing after living apart for months.”

The rep added, “The split is amicable.”

"She’s a busy person and career wise she’s on top of the world," an insider close to the couple tells PEOPLE. "All relationships are hard and some can be salvaged, some can’t. They’re both truly amazing people. They have just decided to go their separate ways."

Nader, 27, and Haire, were married in December 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana in front of 330 guests. At the time, Nader was 22 and Haire, an advertiser, was 33.

“I’m mostly excited to call him hubby!” the model told PEOPLE exclusively ahead of their wedding weekend. “We are also excited to just continue our adventures together. We’ve done a lot of fun traveling and look forward to doing even more.”

“Flowers are everything for me so I am hoping they will help set the vibe,” the Louisiana native added. “I grew up in Louisiana and went to college in New Orleans for two years and love everything about the city. We will have some fun New Orleans traditions incorporated, like a line parade after the ceremony. It’s a staple for New Orleans weddings.”

For her nuptials, Nader wore a strapless Pronovias Oberon gown with a mermaid silhouette and later changed into a custom Viero Bridal gown.

The model starred as one of four cover stars of 2023’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, which marked her fifth appearance in the magazine. On the cover, she wore a red Matthew Bruch one-piece swimsuit and oversized geometric bracelets.

In November 2023, Nader told PEOPLE exclusively that she thinks her three younger sisters Mary Holland, Grace Ann and Sarah Jane, all have a chance to land a SI cover someday.

She continued, "I'm an example of that because I was told no by so many different people to this exact, very thing. So anything's possible. Just hard work, [have] dedication and pursue your dreams.”

Nader also shared that she hopes to be a role model to her sisters.

"I'm trying to be a role model to them, they're all models as well, so I gave them a little something to put on their wishlist," she said.
