The 2021 Golden Globe Awards have officially found Ambassadors for this year's upcoming ceremony.

On Tuesday, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) revealed that Satchel Lee and Jackson Lee — the children of filmmaker and three-time Golden Globe nominee Spike Lee and producer Tonya Lewis Lee — will take on the roles of Ambassadors for the 2021 ceremony.

Announced during a virtual event held amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Satchel and Jackson's appointment marks the first time in HFPA history that two siblings of color have held the position. Jackson is also the first Black male Ambassador to hold the role.

Tasked with assisting throughout the evening of the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony as Golden Globe Ambassadors, Satchel and Jackson will also raise awareness for a charity of their choice.

The 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards will be hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and air live from The Beverly Hilton Hotel on NBC on Sunday Feb. 28, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Chosen by the HFPA, the Golden Globe Ambassador is "traditionally the child or children of one of the industry's most respected actors/actresses/directors/producers of our time," according to the press release.

During the virtual ceremony, outgoing ambassadors Dylan and Paris Brosnan — who are the sons of Pierce Brosnan — introduced Satchel and Jackson, before the brother and sister duo thanked their parents for inspiring them and for teaching them about the importance of using their platform to give back.

"We're proud to carry our father's legacy of storytelling to bring attention to communities close to our hearts," said Satchel in the release. "This year has illuminated just how disproportionately Black and brown people and the LGBTQ+ communities are affected by pre-existing conditions, so it's an honor for me to be able to shine a spotlight on the heroic doctors and nurses at Callen-Lorde who work tirelessly to care for some of the most vulnerable people in New York City."

"Having my dad as a mentor inspired me to choose Big Brothers Big Sisters, a charity built upon the foundation that forming positive, intergenerational relationships can have a profound impact on young lives," Jackson added. "As a visionary creative, my dad taught Satchel and me the importance of entertainment as a cultural catalyst of change."

"Akin to their esteemed filmmaker father known for his uncompromising and provocative storytelling, Satchel and Jackson have already begun to blaze their own paths in the arts. We are honored to see how they'll use this platform to elevate the important issues of LGBTQIA+ health and youth mentorship."
