Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson, off a screenplay by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham, Across the Spider-Verse sees Brooklyn’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man (voiced by Shameik Moore) catapulted across the Multiverse, after unexpectedly reuniting with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld).
The voice cast also boasts Oscar Isaac (as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099), Jason Schwartzman (as The Spot), Brian Tyree Henry and Luna Lauren Velez (as Miles’ parents, Jeff and Rio), Jake Johnson (as Peter B. Parker), Issa Rae (as Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman), Karan Soni (as Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India) and Daniel Kaluuya (as “Hobie” Brown/Spider-Punk).
Several TV Spideys made cameos, which TVLine’s Matt Mitovich detailed here.
Across the Spider-Verse opened June 2, and went on to gross $690 million at the box office. A third film, titled Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, was originally slated to open on March 29, 2024, but has since been delayed indefinitely.
