Will Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have co-op?

Due to the upcoming game featuring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, many fans had wondered whether or not the game would include co-op, to allow fans to play with their friends.

The idea only got bigger when actor Nadji Jeter — who has played Miles Morales in several Spider-Man projects, including all of Insomniac Games’ titles — said that he believed co-op would be available in the title last year during a panel at the SacAnime convention.

However, Insomniac Games has officially commented on the matter. In a tweet on Monday replying to a fan, Insomniac said that there would be no co-op in the game. Instead, the studio said, the game “is an epic single-player adventure,” much like the first one.

Insomniac’s comments this week echo those of the company when they initially revealed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. While it’s possible that players could be able to switch back and forth between Peter and Miles in the game, there will be no playing together as friends.

In the meantime, fans looking for more information on the game might not have to wait long. Sony’s highly anticipated PlayStation Showcase is set for tomorrow and may include information on the game.
