Southern Miss game day kicks off with Spirit Park live among weekend events in Hattiesburg

Southern Miss football season kicks off this weekend as the Golden Eagles host Alcorn and to coincide with the season opening is the return of Spirit Park Live, featuring live performances from country music group Chapel Hart and Southern Station.

Also this weekend the 2024 Miss Black Mississippi USA Pageant hosted by stand-up comedian D.T. Owens is happening on the University of Southern Mississippi campus.

Miss Black Mississippi

Twelve contestants will join in the "Hub City" for an opportunity to vie for the following titles: Miss Black Mississippi Talented Teen and Miss Black Mississippi USA and MS Black Mississippi USA.

  • Where: Thad Cochran Center, 121 W. Memorial Drive, Hattiesburg

New Exhibit at the Hattiesburg Pocket Museum
