'Southern Charm' Premiere: Taylor Gets Fired Up and Craig Hurls F-Bombs in Shouting Match About Shep

In the season 9 opener, a war of words escalated between Craig Conover and Taylor Ann Green, who said Craig "didn't have my back" in her breakup with Shep Rose — or when her ex flirted with another woman

Welcome back to Charleston, where Austen Kroll’s hookup with Shep Rose’s ex Taylor Ann Green has blown the Southern Charm stars’ friend group wide open.

But before that, Taylor was gushing about the joys of being single to Austen’s ex Olivia Flowers.

“The breakups with Shep and Austen kind of brought Taylor and I closer,” Olivia said in a confessional interview. “They’re pretty much glued to the hip at this point. Neither one of us have been single in this town before so we’re kind of navigating it together.”

Olivia, 31, and Taylor, 28, literally navigated Charleston as they went rollerblading. “She’s definitely a sister to me,” Taylor told the cameras. “Ride or die.”

Taylor expressed to Olivia that she enjoyed not having to account for someone else anymore. “It’s nice to not have to worry about somebody,” Taylor said. “I feel like I’m still catching my breath after Shep.”

Olivia recounted that things with Austen took a turn after their time together in New York City.

“When we got back from New York, he just kept telling me to give him a chance to be the guy that I knew and thought he was,” she recalled a confessional interview. “I said, ‘OK,’ and then not even a week later, he told me that his feelings had changed.”

Taylor told Olivia that while she’ll “always cherish the time” she had with Shep, “for it to come spiraling down so quickly was totally a mindf---.”

Taylor said in her own confessional, “I was in love with Shep and I wanted to go full force, no turning back, let’s do it. Let’s get married, let’s have a family, let’s do all these things. And after Shep and I broke up, I still really wanted to make things work. And he said, ‘I will not change.’”

Meanwhile, Shep hoped he and Taylor could be friends after he returned to town from traveling to South Africa and Australia with Austen, 36.

“I loved getting away from Charleston, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say Taylor was on my mind at least a few times a day,” Shep, 43, admitted in a confessional. “I don’t know if time has healed anything for Taylor, but I hope she’s willing to try to patch things up and be friends.”

MADISON’S WEDDING CELEBRATION

Olivia and Taylor would be coming face to face with Austen and Shep at Madison LeCroy’s celebration for her wedding to Brett Randle. They tied the knot in Mexico with just her son Hudson present. Since then, Brett had been commuting to his firefighter job in California three days a week.

Austen made a peace offering to Madison, 32, by giving her a gift that he told her not to shake. “If it’s ticking that means—” he quipped, stopping short. "But yeah, it’s just like a celebratory congratulations."

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Austen shared in a later interview that he was far from ready or willing to be impressed by Brett. “I thought that this guy was going to be like, a Greek god,” said the TropHop beer. “I mean, the way that Madison talks about Brett, she’s like, ‘Oh you know, his d--- is so big and he’s so f---ing hot.’ Seriously, what does this guy have that I don’t have?”

Taylor followed up with her own gift for Madison — a vibrator. “Ya’ll are doing long distance," she explained. "I thought that maybe….”

Madison handled it with grace, telling Taylor, “Thank you, we won’t ever forget it.”

Taylor’s awkward afternoon continued when Shep approached her at the bar. Shep told Taylor she looked great, and they discussed her travels to London and Paris.

Meanwhile, Austen approached Olivia and asked her, “How have you been in the month of December since I haven’t spoke to you?”

Olivia said she’d been “good” and informed Austen that she spent Christmas in Sedona, Arizona.

“You could’ve texted me that, but you chose not to,” Austen replied. “And you instead just decided to thumbs-up me when I said, ‘Hey, hope you’re having a Merry Christmas.’”

Olivia justified not responding to Austen because “that was the first time you had reached out to me in a very long time.”

Instead of escalating the tension, Olivia asked Austen, “What do you need from me in this moment to enjoy the day?”

“Nothing in this moment,” Austen said.

So Olivia decided, “We can go our separate f---ing ways.”

Taylor went over to Austen for a hug, but she still felt riled up about her talk with Shep.

“[Shep] cheated on me tenfold,” Taylor said to Austen and Rodrigo Reyes “and I know some of y’all know about it.”

Taylor was twisted up about rumors Shep had hooked up with Leva Bonaparte’s employee Mia Alario, but Austen denied that had ever happened.

Taylor claimed Craig Conover “was laughing about it” and “thought it was hysterical.”

Craig, however, countered that he tried to stop Shep from hooking up with Mia. But Taylor felt disappointed that Craig supposedly never reached out to her after her breakup with Shep.

“Do you realize how s---ty that is?” Taylor asked Craig, 34. “We used to be friends.”

Craig said that he didn’t reach out to Taylor because he’s friends with Shep.

“He’s a f---ed-up human being,” Taylor asserted.

Craig felt Taylor was “deflecting from the fact that Shep hurt” her, but Taylor felt hurt that Craig “didn’t have my back.”

The back-and-forth escalated into expletive filled-shouting when Craig tried to prove to Taylor that he stopped Shep from cheating with Mia.

“I f---ing threw him through a f---ing wall, alright? So screw you,” Craig said to Taylor. “If it wasn't for me, he would’ve slept with the f---ing girl, and I should’ve let him. Jesus, stop f---ing yelling at me. I didn’t cheat on you, my friend did. So stop f---ing yelling about s--- you don’t know about.”

Trying to put things in perspective for Craig, a teary-eyed Taylor asked the Sewing Down South founder, “What about if your girl cheated on you?”

Madison immediately jumped on Taylor for suggesting that, chiding her: “No Taylor! You can’t say that!”
