Paramount+ has announced that the streamer’s next “South Park” exclusive event “South Park: Joining the Panderverse” will debut on Friday, Oct. 27 in the U.S. and Canada. It will premiere on Oct. 28 in the U.K. and Australia and other international markets afterwards.

The official logline for “Joining the Panderverse” reads: “Cartman’s deeply disturbing dreams portend the end of the life he knows and loves. The adults in South Park are also wrestling with their own life decisions as the advent of AI is turning their world upside down.”

The teaser for the exclusive event promises the return of “all your favorite South Park characters” — but maybe not quite as you remember them. The clip features Cartman, Kenny, Butters and Kenny as female characters; at the end, Kyle sits in the office of PC Principal and asks him, “How does this even make any sense?”

Four previous “South Park” exclusive events have already been released and are available to watch exclusively on Paramount+: “South Park: Post Covid,” “South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid,” “South Park: The Streaming Wars,” and “South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2.”

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are the series’ co-creators and executive producers; Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II join them in executive producing. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman serve as producers. Christopher Brion serves as creative director of South Park Digital Studios.

Comedy Central has renewed “South Park” through 2027, which will lead the series into a 30th season.
