South Alabama kicker makes field goal after it bounces three times off goal post
This may be one of the most fortuitous field goals you’ll ever see.
South Alabama kicker Gavin Patterson hit a 46-yard field goal in the third quarter against Georgia State on Thursday night after the ball caromed not once, not twice, but three times off the goal post before it was finally good.
Just marvel at this kick.

And take a look at all of its beauty in slow-motion. It’s so wonderful and random.
We are going to go ahead and proclaim this the best field goal of the season. Only a four-bouncer is going to be able to be better than this.
While South Alabama isn’t unhappy with the points from that kick, it needed a touchdown more than anything. The field goal only cut Georgia State’s lead to 14-6.
