Source: Big Ten transfer portal offensive lineman visits Rutgers football
Curtis Dunlap is one of the highest priority offensive line recruits in the nation entered the transfer portal in mid-October. And it appears that there is some interest between Dunlap and Rutgers.
A source close to the situation tells ‘Rutgers Wire’ that Dunlap visited the Rutgers campus within the past week. A former four-star recruit, he started for Minnesota at right guard in 2019 before seeing an injury sideline the entirety of his sophomore season. This season, Dunlap saw action in five games for the Golden Gophers, all as a reserve.

Rutgers has a glaring need along the offensive line and Dunlap would certainly be a solid addition. The source, who is familiar with the situation, said that the visit went well and that Rutgers is believed to be very high on the interior offensive lineman.
In 2018, Dunlap was ranked the No. 8 guard in the nation according to 247 Sports and the No. 218 player. He held offers from the likes of Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and Tennessee among others.
Offensive line play – and depth – was a source of concern all season for Rutgers. Dunlap is a potentially big addition to the program who would have a pathway to playing time and a starting position were he to commit to the program.
