Soulja Boy opted to go the distasteful route with Metro Boomin on Mother’s Day (May 12) and did not take his foot off the gas. So much so that the “Crank That” rapper challenged the St. Louis producer and 21 Savage to a boxing match.

How did this all begin? Well, fans have been resurfacing several of the Heroes & Villians artist’s old tweets in light of his beef with Drake. In one now-deleted tweet from 2012, he wrote, “My phone rings to come to the studio with Jeezy. Yours rings to send Soulja Boy a pack of beats. Sit down.”

Despite it being posted almost 12 years ago, Big Draco caught wind of the tweet and retaliated by warning Metro to delete the tweet in a long rant on Instagram Live. The displeased Soulja Boy took things a step further by wishing the three-time Grammy nominee a Happy Mother’s Day via X, formerly known as Twitter. This was an especially cruel act given the fact the 30-year-old producer’s mother died via murder-suicide in 2022, and he has been vocal about how much that loss impacted him.

21 Savage immediately stepped up to defend Metro Boomin, asking Soulja Boy “Or what?” amid his threats toward the popular producer. The Atlanta rapper responded, “Or I’m slapping the sh*t out him and Metro.” If anyone has learned anything about the Souljaboytellem.com artist, then they would know that physical threats are only the beginning of his tirades and goading.

He continued, sharing screenshots of old messages where Boomin was trying to connect with him to make music. As people called him out for his harsh comments, Soulja doubled down. “I don’t give a f**k!!!!” he wrote via X. “It’s always cool when a ni**a come at me but when I defend myself it’s too much huh?! F**k that ni**a mama!!!!!!!!!! Don’t speak on my name bi**h!”

He was seemingly ready for all the smoke, as he brought the American Dream rapper back into the mix by urging both him and Metro to sign a contract to face him in a boxing match. 21 responded by posting an XXL article that claimed Soulja Boy’s net worth was negative and a judge suggested that he reduce his expenses to pay a woman the $472,000 that he owes her.

While 21 Savage posting Soulja Boy’s net worth could be taken as a joke, he took what the controversial rapper said very seriously. In another tweet, he wrote, “Speaking on a ni**a mama like sh*t a game you gon sh*t on yourself when I see you boy.”

It comes as no surprise the Slaughter Gang CEO came to Metro Boomin’s defense, as they have been close friends and collaborators for several years. They worked on 2016’s Savage Mode and 2020’s Savage Mode 2 together, and have appeared on each other’s records countless times.

While fans speculated about what side 21 fell on amid Metro’s current beef with Drake, he silenced the rumors this past weekend. “Don’t be coming on my motherf**kin’ live talkin’ ’bout no motherf**kin’ beef,” he said in an Instagram Live. “Metro my brother and Drake my brother. Them motherf**kers gon’ figure that sh*t out eventually. F**k wrong with y’all?”
