Souled Out Jazz performs April 14
Apr. 10—The Souled Out Jazz Orchestra was formed in 2009 to share the love of Christ through jazz. SOJO plays jazz standards, as well as arrangements of great hymns and gospel songs.
The group is comprised completely of East Texas musicians who volunteer their time, and have played for civic events, churches, Texas state prisons, assisted living centers, outdoor venues, and anywhere there's an opportunity to share the love of Christ.
Through Athens First Methodist "Come Alive" ministry, they will be performing free at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 at the Athens First Methodist Church located at 225 Lovers Ln. in the Church sanctuary in Athens. Reception to follow.
